Effer Bostacet

POSOLOGY AND METHOD OF ADMINISTRATION

Method of administration

Oral use, the drug is not affected by food.

Dissolved in about 200 ml of water, drink it immediately after completely dissolve.

Posology 

Adults and children over 15 years: The maximum dose is 1 to 2 tablets every 4 to 6 hours and not more than 8 tablets a day.

Elderly (over 65 years): There were no differences in safety or pharmacokinetic properties between users older than 65 years and younger users.

CONTRAINDICATIONS

Effer Bostacet should not be used in patients with a history of hypersensitivity to Tramadol, paracetamol, or any ingredients or to Opioids.  Effer Bostacet is also contraindicated in cases of acute intoxication with alcohol, hypnotic drugs, narcotics, centrally-acting analgesics, opioids or psychotropic drugs

Hepatic impairment, severe respiratory failure, children under 15 years old, breastfeeding.

WARNING AND PRECAUTIONS

Risk of seizure when used in combination with SSRIs (Selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors), TCAs (tricyclic compounds), opioids, IMAOs, neuroleptics or drugs that reduce the seizure threshold; or in patients with epilepsy, in patients with a history of seizures, or at risk of seizures.

Risk for respiratory depression in patients at risk of respiratory depression; when large doses of tramadol are administered with anesthetic medications or alcohol.

Used with caution when administered to patients receiving CNS depressants such as alcohol, opioids, anesthetic agents, narcotics, phenothiazines, tranquilizers or sedative hypnotics.

Patient has increased intracranial pressure or head trauma.

The patient is addicted to opium because it can cause relapse.

Patients with chronic alcoholism and risk of hepatotoxicity.

In tramadol overdose, naloxone administration may increase the risk of seizure.

 For patients with creatinine clearance less than 30 ml/min, it is recommended to use no more than 2 tablets every 12 hours.

Patients with renal impairment., hepatic impairment.

 Do not exceed the indicated dose

 Do not take other medicines containing paracetamol or tramadol.

SHELF LIFE: 36 months from the manufacturing date. Do not use after the expiry use.
