POSOLOGY AND METHOD OF ADMINISTRATION

Method of administration

Oral route

Dissolve the tablet in water and drink after it is completely effervescing.

Dosage

Adults and children 16 - 18 years: 1 - 2 tablets every 4 to 6 hours when necessary to a maximum of 8 tablets in 24 hours.

Children 12-15 years: 1 tablet every 4-6 hours when necessary to a maximum of 4 doses in 24 hours.

Children under 12 years: Not recommended.

Patients with kidney failure

In case of renal insufficiency (renal failure), the dose depends on the degree of renal insufficiency (calculated as creatinine clearance) at the individual below:

Patients with hepatic impairment:

Patients with impaired hepatic function should take with caution, the dose must be reduced or the prolonged dosing must be avoided.

The daily effective dose should not exceed 2g/day in the following situations: Adults weighing less than 50 kg, mild to moderate hepatic insufficiency, Gilbert's syndrome (familial non-hemolytic jaundice), dehydration, chronic malnutrition.

CONTRAINDICATIONS

- Hypersensitivity to paracetamol or to any of the excipients.

- Severe hepatic impairment.

PRECAUTION

- Do not take any antipyretic drugs while taking this medicine.

- Alcoholics, patients with severe renal impairment.

- Each tablet contains 378.3 mg of sodium. This medicinal product should be taken into account for those on a low salt diet, patients with edema due to kidney disease, and cardiovascular disease.

- Each Effer - paracetamol 500  tablet contains aspartame (a source of phenylalanine) and may be harmful to people with phenylketonuria.

- Patients should be advised that paracetamol may cause severe skin reactions such as Steven-Johnson syndrome (SIS), toxic epidermal necrolysis (TEN) or Lyell’s syndrome, acute generalized exanthematous pustulosis (AGEP).

SHELF LIFE: 36 months from the manufacturing date. Do not use this product after the expiry date.
