Clotrimazol is indicated for the local treatment of fungal diseases such as:
Candidiasis in the mouth and throat; dermatophytosis, dermatophytosis, interstitial and toenail fungus, as well as vulvovaginal candidiasis, tinea versicolor caused by Malassezia furfur, and onychomycosis
POSOLOGY AND METHOD OF ADMINISTRATION
Posology
Apply a thin layer of the drug to the affected area and rub it in. If you have a fungal infection on your feet, you need to wash and dry your feet before applying for the medicine, especially between the toes
Method of administration
Gently apply a sufficient amount of medicine to the affected area, twice a day. If the disease does not improve after 4 weeks of treatment, the diagnosis should be reviewed. It usually doesn't get better within 1 week. Sometimes it takes up to 8 weeks of treatment
CONTRAINDICATIONS:
Patients with hypersensitivity to clotrimazole or to any of its ingredients
WARNING AND PRECAUTION
If irritation or sensitization occurs when using clotrimazole, the drug should be discontinued and appropriate treatment.
Tell your doctor if there is increased irritation in the application area (redness, itching, burning, blisters, swelling), or signs of hypersensitivity.
Avoid sources of infection or reinfection.
The drug must be treated full time even though the symptoms are in remission.
Be careful with excipients:
Product contains:
+ Cetyl alcohol: may cause skin reactions such as contact dermatitis
+ Propylene glycol: There is about 550 mg of propylene glycol/1 g of the drug, so can cause skin irritation. Do not use on children under 4 months of age or on open wounds or large areas of unhealed or damaged skin (such as burns) without supervision by a doctor or pharmacist
SHELF-LIFE: 36 months from the manufacturing date. Do not use after the expiry date
