Prednisolone is indicated when anti-inflammatory and immunosuppressive effects are required:
- Rheumatoid arthritis, systemic lupus erythematosus, some types of vasculitis: temporal arteritis and inflammation around the nodal artery, sarcoid disease, bronchial asthma, ulcerative colitis, hemolytic anemia, granulocytopenia, and severe allergic diseases including anaphylaxis.
-Cancers such as acute leukemia, lymphoma, breast cancer and advanced prostate cancer.
INSTRUCTION FOR USE
Administration
-PREDNISOLON BOSTON is used for oral route, after breakfast ( for a period of 7-8 hours).
Dosage
-Adults: Initial dose can be from 5 to 60 mg daily, depending on the specific disease entity being treated and is usually divided into 2-4 times/day.
-Children: The dose for children can be from 0.14-2 mg/kg/day or 4-60 mg/m2 /day, divided into 4 times.
Contraindications
-Hypersensitivity to prednisolone or any of the excipients.
- Serious infections, except septicaemia and tuberculosis.
- Skin infections caused by viruses, fungi or tuberculosis.
- Taking a live virus vaccine.
WARNINGS AND PRECAUTIONS
- Caution is required in patients with osteoporosis, new anastomosis (intestinal, vascular), mental disorders, peptic ulcer, duodenal ulcer, diabetes, hypertension, heart failure and adolescence.
-Use systemic corticosteroids with caution in the elderly, at the lowest possible dose and within the shortest possible time due to the risk of side effects.
- Acute adrenal insufficiency may occur when the drug is suddenly stopped after long-term treatment or when there is stress.
- When used in high doses, may affect the effectiveness of vaccination.
SHELF-LIFE:
36 months from the manufacturing date. Do not use after the expiry date.

- Box of 3 blisters x 10 tablets.
- Box of 5 blisters x 10 tablets.
- Box of 10 blisters x 10 tablets.
