COMPOSITION

Each ACETYLCYSTEIN BOSTON 200 sachet contains:

Active ingredient:

Acetylcysteine 200 mg

Treatment of bronchial secretion disorders, especially during acute bronchial disorders: acute bronchitis and acute stage of chronic pulmonary disease.

DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION

Adults and children over 7 years old: 1 sachet × 3 times a day.

Children 2 to 7 years old: 1 sachet × 2 times a day.

Treatment duration should not exceed 8 to 10 days without medical advice.

ADMINISTRATION

ACETYLCYSTEIN BOSTON 200 is administered orally. Dissolve the powder in half a glass of water (about 100 ml).

CONTRAINDICATION

Hypersensitivity to acetylcysteine or any ingredient of the drug.

Patients with history of asthma.

Children under 2 years old.

Due to the presence of aspartame, this medicine is against-indicated in patients with phenylketonuria.

WARNINGS AND PRECAUTIONS

Asthmatic should be observed during treatment with acetylcysteine. If bronchospasm occurs, a bronchodilator should be given by nebulization.

Due to present of lactose, this medicine should be used in caution in patients with rare hereditary problems of galactose intolerance, the Lapp lactase deficiency or glucose-galactose malabsorption should not take acetylcysteine.

Caution in patients with history of pepticulcer.

PREGNANCY AND LACTATION

Pregnancy: The results of studies in animals have shown no evidence of teratogenicity. These data do not anticipate a teratogenic effect in human.

Lactation: Avoid it if no data available on the excretion in breast milk.

SHELF-LIFE

36 months from the date of manufacturing. Do not use after the expiry date.
